Carey was almost 5'10 tall at the time she was a top model. She was a popular model among American designer Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren was extremely high. In 1979, the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists named the father of her Scientist of the Year. As a result of his professional career Carey grew up all around the world. She started modeling part time during her time attending the University of Colorado and caught the eye of a rep of the Ford model Agency in New York. She briefly lived and studied in Paris prior to returning in New York. Her modeling as well as her college career took off and she appeared on the covers of Glamour's and Vogue's and a variety of other magazines' covers. As she modeled and continued to pursue her studies full-time for a literature major in New York University. When she arrived in New York she began to learn about acting. She had a small part of Club Paradise with Robin Williams in 1986. She loves rock climbing as well as skiing and windsurfing.
