tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was conceived in Torrance on February 27 in 1976. He grew up in the southern part of California and was a student at Huntington Beach High School where He was a leading player on both football and basketball teams. Gonzalez was a star in these sports at the University of California, Berkeley. He led the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he broke the record of the school bowl with nine receptions. A few months later Gonzalez helped lead the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament. He left college to join the 1997 NFL Draft. The Kansas City Chiefs selected Gonzalez as the 13th pick overall. Gonzalez was playing for the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. The Chiefs sold Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons. After Gonzalez's first NFL season, he threw not less than 59 of them per season.
