Tom SelleckThomas William Selleck is an American actor. His breakout role was Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in Magnum. He was nominated for five Emmy Awards as Outstanding Lead Actor In the Drama Series (1980-1988) as well as took home the Emmy Award in 1985. From 2010 to 2010 Selleck has been the New York City Police Chief Frank Reagan. Since 2005 He has played the the troubled police chief of a small town Jesse Stone in nine television films that are based on the Robert B. Parker novels.In films, Selleck has played bachelor architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). Since Magnum, P.I., his appearances have included more than 50 roles on television and film, including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter. He was a frequent TV actor on the show playing Monica Geller's lover Dr. Richard Burke, on Friends; Lance White, the charming, ignorant lover, in The Rockford Files; and as A.J., the casino owner.
